Winter wear that's warm without the bulk

Children overheat as easily as they get cold, so our winter category is built around layering rather than one enormous coat. Start with a brushed thermal base layer, add a fleece or knit mid-layer, then finish with a water-repellent puffer, gilet or snow trousers depending on the day. Each layer is light on its own, so a child can still run, climb and bend their arms — the most common reason a warm coat ends up on the floor.

The range includes quilted puffer jackets, sherpa-lined hoodies, anti-pill fleece jackets and onesies, nordic knit sweaters, padded snow trousers with braces, thermal sets, and accessories like beanie-and-mitten sets, scarves and gloves. Outer layers use water-repellent shells with taped stress points, elastic cuffs to keep sleeves down, and zip pockets so gloves and small treasures survive the walk home. Reflective trims appear on the darker colourways for winter afternoons.

Warmth ratings are given on each product page so you can match a piece to your climate instead of guessing. As a rule: a fleece mid-layer handles 5–12°C, a puffer takes you to around 0°C, and adding a thermal base extends that further. Wash outerwear sparingly on a gentle cycle, close all zips first, and re-proof water-repellent shells with a wash-in treatment once a season to keep them beading. Shop winter wear below, and pair it with Footwear for boots that match the weather.
